We're living in 2017 and Apple is living in 3017. That's the takeaway from Tuesday's big reveal, as the tech giant dropped three new iPhones — the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, and X. While the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are relatively budget-friendly for what you're getting (hello, wireless charging and upgraded camera!), the X starting at $999 is on a whole other level of luxury. That's why it only makes sense that we treat it with the respect it deserves by protecting it in cases that cost more than the device itself. (You're in luck if you're still the proud owner of an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus — its cases will fit the 8 and 8 Plus, but for a X you'll need an entirely new case). From diamond-encrusted gold plates to titanium that we'd like to think can withstand a nuclear war, these iPhone cases cost so much you'll think the price tag is a prank.

With a case so chic, it's a shame to keep it hidden in your backpack. Rock this number like you would a purse — a way updated version of the Speedy bag circa 2k4. For $3,000 extra, upgrade to crocodile skin.

The world collectively sighed when we learned the iphone X wouldn't come in rose gold. Not only does goldgenie - not affiliated with Apple - make the phone in our favourite metallic millennial pink finish, but platinum and 24K gold, too. It comes in a cherry oak box unlocked for any network. They offer Swarovski and diamond-encrusted versions, which don't include the price. If you gotta ask, you can't afford it.

What do you get when you mix a durable engraved titanium body with the dainty details of real diamonds and 18k gold detailing? Only the most ridic device you'll answer calls from, ever.
